As a child growing up in Boston, my parents had a subscription to LIFE magazine which employed some of the world's best photographers. I became fascinated with some of the images I saw and how they brought the magazine stories to life. I wanted to learn how to produce the kind of quality work that I saw in those pages every week.
So, I saved some money and bought my first camera at age 15. In college, I studied photography seriously as I worked to complete my Bachelors in Fine Arts from the University of Massachusetts. After college, I worked as a news photographer and for a studio in Boston shooting weddings and portraits.
My photographic journey has continued and has extended into advertising and food photography. I have been fortunate to have some of my work featured in Charleston Style & Design, Mount Pleasant Magazine, Sullivan's Island Magazine, The Daily Meal and on websites of some of the area's leading businesses.
